Author Biography
Christy Butler is a visual artist with an Associate Degree in Liberal Studies-Majoring in Design, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration majoring in Marketing and Management. Other related studies include Mass Communications, Filmmaking and Photography. After being published in variety of Literary and Specialty Magazines, along with other Audio-Visual endeavors, Butler created and directed a grant-funded and web-based archive of veteran's personal photos from their military experiences www.shoeboxphotos.net. This was followed by a series of New England State Waterfall posters created with Jan Butler. www.berkshirephotos.com. Collaborations with author Russell Dunn, began with the publication of Berkshire Region Waterfall Guide and later Connecticut Waterfalls: A Guide. Rockachusetts is their latest collaboration.
Russell Dunn is a New York State licensed hiking guide who has written seven waterfall guidebooks covering Vermont, eastern New York State, western Massachusetts, and Connecticut (co-authored with Christy Butler); three paddling guidebooks covering New York's Greater Capital Region; two hiking guidebooks (co-authored with Barbara Delaney) covering the Adirondacks and New York's Greater Capital Region; a book of Adventures around the Great Sacandaga Lake; a 3-D Guide to New York's Empire State Plaza and its large works of art (co-authored with Barbara Delaney), and Ausable Chasm: In Pictures and Story (co-authored with John Haywood & Sean Reines).
