Author Biography
A life-long Rhode Islander, Burt Jagolinzer was raised in Providence and Pawtucket in a family with a diverse musical presence that inspired him to pursue the piano, trumpet, baritone horn and vocals, and develop a profound love for jazz. Burt is a jazz critic, former teacher, and longtime president of the Newport Jazz Association. The former owner of several successful businesses throughout New England, Burt is now retired and lives in Cranston, Rhode Island.
