SMILY arose out of my desire to share the benefits of yoga with children in my role as a pediatric Occupational Therapist working in a school setting. I wanted to provide children, therapists and teachers with a fun and unique way of enhancing the development of skills needed for success at school. I also knew that the use of yoga could be justified as an effective method to stimulate learning while supporting basic educational requirements.
