Samantha expects things her way. It's called Samantha's Law. When she dismisses her previous housemaid, she sees no reason why her useless brother-in-law can't fill the role.

Samantha offers her sister the chance to live rent-free at her massive home, and to give her sister's husband a job. She's vague about the role, but Suzanne goes along with her plans as it will ease their money woes. Suzanne's husband, John, is less sure it's a good idea.
