A husband whose idea of a great birthday gift is a new gutter....a Martha Stewart clone who moves next door....a college class from hell...a losing battle with gravity... a tom turkey who thinks he is a rooster...all are rich fodder for essays about the absurdity of life in the twenty-first century.
