Seymour is a siamese cat who did everything with his owner. That is, until she had a baby girl of her own. Seymour felt displaced and ignored but as the baby grew into a little girl, he found that not only did his mother still love him but he also had the love of this little girl. Seymour learned that he was still an important part of his family and was able to love and help this younger, new addition. A beautiful tale about the sensitive feelings of animals and also a metaphor for any child struggling with the arrival of a sibling.
