by Charlotte Bishop (Author)
Patrick and Lionel aren't wizards fighting fire with fire. They're not brothers on the road to perdition. They sure as hell aren't vampire-staking cheerleaders. But when a young woman turns up dead of clearly supernatural causes, they're the ones on the scene. The case seems pretty cut-and-dry at first: vengeful spirit, causing mayhem out of anger. The theory only seems more valid when two more bodies with the exact M.O. pop up. Still, they can't shake the feeling that something bigger is brewing, and, well... ...sometimes, you'd just rather be wrong.
Author Biography
I walked into a used bookstore one day in high school and picked up Storm Front by Jim Butcher. One read and I was a goner. I write character-driven urban fantasy, usually set in Kansas City and the surrounding areas. I've always been fascinated by monsters, gods, myths, urban legends, and their effects on people, and it shows in my writing. Sure, I have your typical fare: vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, dragons. But I also love to dive deeper into the mire, into Lichs, Pucas, thought-forms, Naga, and more - even going so far as to bring mythical characters both familiar and unfamiliar into the mix. I write because I love it, and because I want to bring these night creatures into the light if only for a few pages.
