On a June day in year ST75, the Spared Territory's leaders board a train bound for their annual conference. The trip is both administrative and celebratory in nature.

The ST's first colony is hosting the event. Their destination is a grand resort located on the Gulf of Mexico. Most have never experienced its sunshine, seafood, and sugar white beaches.
