Author Biography
A native and lifelong resident of Oregon, the short-story and nonfiction writer, Cindy Birko began writing over twenty years ago. Most recently, she published a travelogue of a hiking trip she took into the Pueblo Mountains in Desert Trails Association Quarterly. She is a regular contributor to The Itemizer Observer, a division of Eagle Press, and the Salem Statesman Journal located in Salem, Oregon. An avid volunteer in animal foster and rescue work, particularly horses, she is also politically active in land-use issues and the protection and promotion of wildlife habitat.
