Author Biography

Burke Moses has spent thirty years performing in the musical theater, playing leading roles on Broadway, London's West End, and many of the finest summer stock and regional theaters in America. He made his Broadway debut as Sky Masterson in the 1992 smash-hit revival of "Guys and Dolls" He then garnered worldwide critical acclaim creating the role of Gaston in the original production of "Disney's Beauty the Beast." Also on Broadway, Mr. Moses played Fred Graham in Michael Blakemore's scrumptious revival of "Kiss Me Kate," and Herekles in Stephen Sondheim's "The Frogs" at Lincoln Center. He has devoted the past twenty years to the study of libretto acting craft, the only training mandatory to act on any musical stage. "Stanislavski Never Wore Tap Shoes (Musical Theater Acting Craft)" is the first book written by a seasoned musical performance artist about the craft of acting in the musical theater.
