Author Biography

Jamie Callender is currently a partner in the law firm of Buckley King with offices in Cleveland and Columbus Ohio. He is also Professor of State Public Policy at Kent State University and has previously taught at several public and private colleges and universities. Jamie Callender was elected to the Ohio House of Representatives in 1996, and served the maximum (8 years) allowed under term limits in the state. During his tenure in the House he served as Chairman of the House Education Committee where he oversaw the initiation of charter schools in the state, as as Chairman of JCARR (Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review) which oversees the adoption of administrative rules.
