by Robert J. McCarter (Author)
Captain Angela Allen, commander of Ceres Station in the asteroid belt, thought that she had long ago reconciled her past by embracing her scientist grandfather and leaving behind the spirituality of her Navajo grandmother.
But when a shapeshifting alien of unknown origin and astonishing capabilities threatens to destroy the station and kill all two-hundred souls on board, Captain Allen must confront the alien and reconcile the two disparate parts of her heritage before time runs out.
In this innovative and entertaining short story, Robert J. McCarter, author of
Seeing Forever, deftly combines hard science fiction with legends of his Arizona home to create an unforgettable adventure.
