STEPS IN DECODING MAYAN HIEROGLYPHIC WRITING The most recent discoveries on Mayan hieroglyphic writings are presented in this Second Edition, fully revised and updated with new, important chapters. The techniques presented in this book are unique innovations on the analysis of Meso-American writing, which may lead to finally deciphering the Mayan hieroglyphic writings. By projecting vertical hieroglyphic groups on circular graphs with scales that enter data-like screens, the sequence indicated by lines connected to their points develop geometric figures of outstanding precision. This synthesis gives a visual representation of the dispersion of the series. "Circular Analysis" is a new method in the study of Meso-American hieroglyphics. Vertical Mayan inscriptions, which had escaped our understanding for millennia, are elucidated in this book, Steps in Decoding Mayan Hieroglyphic Writing, as an intricate filigree of modern mathematics, geometry and astronomy. All knowledge derived from Mayan hieroglyphic writing is proportional, harmonious, precise and applies to the universe. This book is indicative of the future orientation of research related to the science of the Mayans and is derived from the analytical study of a single document, The Dresden Codex-- a priceless message.
Author Biography
OLGA JUDITH NAJARRO IBARRA (JUNO) Guatemalan Archaeo-graphic designer, majored in Communication Sciences at the University of San Carlos, Guatemala. Ms. Najarro is author of the book Ancient Mayan Message, a facsimile of The Dresden Codex (First Edition, 1979), along with its Second Edition in 1981, published in Guatemala City. In this book, Steps in Decoding Mayan Hieroglyphic Writing (Second Edition), she introduces the reader to the most recent discoveries about Mayan writing, working closely with her husband, Mr. Canellis, during the whole realization of this book (conducting the First Edition in Mérida, Yucatán, 1990). PHILIPPOS CANELLIS GENTILE (FILCANELLIS) Greek national, graduated from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland in Economics. Traveling extensively through Europe, the Middle East and the Americas, he has done numerous scientific, philosophical and astronomical studies, as well as learning to fluently speak, read and write six different languages (Greek, English, Spanish, Arabic, Italian and French). Steps in Decoding Mayan Hieroglyphic Writing reveals Mr. Canellis' mind-blowing discoveries on Mayan hieroglyphics, which are derived from several years of analysis and research conducted in Guatemala based on a single pre-Columbian document-- The Dresden Codex.
