Author Biography
William James Medlin is a world traveler and world history enthusiast. He traveled around the world in 77 days, visiting 33 cities, crossing the Pacific from Los Angeles and the Atlantic to New York City, seeing the countries in between. He sailed the Caribbean many times on tall ships known as Windjammers. A sergeant in the US Marines, he served in Korea. After his enlistment, he managed a motion picture film-processing laboratory. Now retired from designing and building custom cabinetry, William is married, has 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He runs two marathons each year; on May 16, 2015 he ran The Malibu Canyon Trail Run and placed first in his class, earning the top spot on the awards platform for the first time. William is a Christian and attends church regularly.
