Studies in Child Development - Paperback

by Arnold Gesell (Author)

"Studies in Child Development" is Arnold Gesell's seminal 1948 analysis into child behaviour and development. Gesell was amongst the first to embark on a quantitative investigation into child development. Designing his own parameters and measurement, he had young children of various ages respond to stimulus objects including cubes and bells, while he noted down their behaviour and responses. This fascinating investigation is highly recommended for those with an interest in the history and development of the field, and it would make for a worthy addition to collections of allied literature. Arnold Lucius Gesell (1880 - 1961) was a psychologist and paediatrician who contributed significantly to the field of child development. We are republishing this vintage text in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition - complete with a specially commissioned new biography of the author.
