by June Whitehurst Johnson (Author)

The records that have been abstracted in this book were found in a suit in Loudoun County, Virginia, suit number M:2491 Lane & West vs Evans et als 1771. It was thought before the discovery of these records that none of the records of Cameron Parish were in existence; therefore it was most exciting to find these few documents.
The surviving records cover only a few years (1763-1767) and only a part of the parish. The area of the county covered is above Goose Creek and Little River to Fauquier County line. It appears in these records there is a tithable list for this district above Goose Creek and Little River for the year 1765.
A full-name index adds to the value of this work.
