The volume consists of a substantial collection of Tennessee Bible records of private parties, and also provides independent lists of marriages solemnized by various Tennessee ministers. Portions devoted to exclusively to marriages are generally listed chronologically, providing dates and the full names of brides and grooms. In addition to marriages, deaths, and births, there are some listings which include deeds, wills, and obituaries, biographical sketches and historical notes.
