The 120 Days of Sodom by Marquis de Sade is one of the most infamous and controversial works of literature ever written. Conceived while de Sade was imprisoned in the Bastille in 1785, the book is an unrelenting exploration of depravity, power, and absolute corruption.

Never completed by de Sade, The 120 Days of Sodom was discovered in manuscript form and later published posthumously.
