Author Biography

Gavin Scott is a screenwriter in Los Angeles. Born in Yorkshire, England, his family emigrated to New Zealand when he was a child and he grew up in rural Hawkes Bay. At 17 he spent a year in Borneo teaching English to the children of head hunters, and after graduating from Victoria University of Wellington traveled through Asia to London. Here he became a reporter for Times Newspapers, BBC radio and television and Independent Television News. In 1990 George Lucas asked him to join the team that created the TV series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and he went on to write Small Soldiers for Steven Spielberg, The Borrowers for Working Title and many other films and TV mini series, including Mists of Avalon and War and Peace.
