Author Biography

Sharon mounu Riddell is a writer, composer, and producer living in Nashville, TN. She is a Stress Management, Business, and Spiritual Consultant, as well as a certified Accelerated Learning Consultant trained in NLP and Conscious Connected Breathing. Mounu has spent most of her life creating music and inspirational writing while working with individuals, families, and groups through a variety of modalities to enhance mindfulness and personal freedom. After developing a unique modality, using sound and light, she discovered this process greatly accelerated learning which assisted her clients in the areas of stress and weight management, the enhancement of sports skills as well as the release of negative habits, and encouraged meditation, mindfulness, and conscious awareness. Mounu spent over 25 years writing songs, recording, and touring the world as a full-time performer. Since retiring from the road, she has focused on writing, producing and consulting for the past three decades. Mounu co-developed the workshop "Getting Down to Business With Your Right Brain," and "The Artistry Project." She has also donated her time and music to raise funds for Women's Shelters as well as the development of the non-profit organization, "Dancing With Cancer." She is the founder of The Angels of Africa Project, and creator of the musical play "Dear Miss Zinnie: Letters from Africa." The play is the centerpiece of the project and consists of 12 songs and 12 character's stories, each depicting a different aspect of the orphan pandemic in Sub-Saharan Africa. She developed the play for two-time Tony nominee, Ernestine Jackson, who mentored mounu and was her muse throughout its evolution Mounu is also the founder of the "Love Dreams for The Planet Project" and is currently developing a video with Ms. Jackson for this project. Two of the songs from the play, "I Dream" and 'Love Is The Power" have been adapted to reflect the current issues facing our global community. The author of "The Zen of Money," soon to be re-issued and "The Art of Bwaling-According to the Pink Dog," she is currently developing "The Pink Dog Chronicles from The Tavern of The Divine." From Aging to Quantum Physics, this series will continue to share Pink Dog's wit and wisdom. Pink Dog, the co-writer, was rescued from the streets and found her way to mounu, resulting in their creative partnership. She now spends her time in the here/now, being herself and sharing her canine wisdom with mounu.
