The stories in this book are true. They are my stories about my encounters with bear. Some are comical and a few were darn-right scary. Bear is a wild animal and should always be dealt with, with that understanding. I do not encourage anyone to try to do some of the things I have with bear. I have never been afraid of bear, but there were times when I tried to give them a wide berth. I have always been fascinated the abilities that bear have and I certainly respect them.
