by Elizabeth A. Garcia (Author)
Take one sharp, determined deputy and ask her to solve a mystery that has not been solved in thirty years. Stir in a disgruntled local chauvinist, a tourist who disappears while camping near Big Bend National Park, a sexy new waiter in Lajitas, a foray into the nightlife of a nearby Mexican town, a tall and handsome millionaire, a herd of wild pintos, a ferocious blizzard, a bloody one-car crash, and an abandoned mercury mining town. Sprinkle with the awe-inspiring scenery of the Big Bend area, starry desert nights, a little hawk-watching, and the drop-dead beauty of Wyoming. Mix it all together for a fast-paced read you won't want to put down. Ms. Garcia has already shown herself to be a master of the whodunit, stay-up-all-night-reading genre. The Beautiful Bones is the second of the Deputy Ricos Tales series.
Author Biography
Elizabeth A. (Beth) Garcia has lived for more than thirty years in the Big Bend country of far west Texas. She has hiked, rafted, explored, and earned a living in this wild desert-mountain land near the Rio Grande, on the border of the United States and Mexico. It was experiencing the deep canyons, creosote-covered bajadas, and stark, jagged mountains, along with the wide-open spaces and dark, starry nights that eventually brought her to writing. Now she can't quit! The Beautiful Bones is her second published novel, and the second of many Deputy Ricos tales. Each one stands alone so they can be read in any order. "One Bloody Shirt at a Time" was the first of this series. For a listing of where to find it, see below. Beth is working on the next Deputy Ricos novel, as well as three others that are unrelated to the Deputy Ricos series.
