Being raised by an African- American mother has been the most rewarding, yet challenging experience. Often times when conflict was introduced to the home solutions would be created in a instance. My mother always said "its the techniques of survival learned early on by our ancestors". Yet, restoration always seemed to be the elephant in the room. This children's story was created to display a healthy example of learning from lessons but also restoring the relationships in the moment. We are raising young KINGS and QUEENS and it starts at home first !
