Author Biography
Born in 1942 in London Kentucky, we soon moved to Dayton, Ohio. After a few years, we moved to Hamilton, Ohio where my father purchased a home and this is where I grew up. I attended Hamilton Publice Schools. After purchasing another home, we move again out of the city into the county area where I attended the Fairfield Public Schools. I left school in my senior year and married in 1960. The following year, I was a new father unable to secure a good paying job. I returned to high school and graduated from Middletown High School. I was able to secure a position with the Ohio State Highway Patrol as a Drivers License Examiner while I waited for the next patrol academy to start. I had an uncle that was a state trooper and I was always impressed by him. While working at the Hamilton Examining Station, I began to change my mind about becoming a State Trooper. I had discovered that the Sheriff Department appeared to be more of what I was wanting. With the assistance of my uncle, I got the job at the Sheriff Department. I left the Highway Patrol and began my new job as Deputy Sheriff on August 2, 1965. Over the next fifteen years, I also worked for the Middletown Police Department, the Trenton Police Department and The Fairfield Townshop Police Department. Now retired, I'm the proud father of three sons, and six grand children
