by B. Phillip Bettis Esq (Foreword by), Jimmy F. Orr (Author)
The Gospel of John reads like the transcript of a courtroom trial. Although not a lawyer, the author utilized some of the same strategies used by an attorney in a courtroom trial. In his Gospel, John made an opening statement, called witnesses to testify, presented physical evidence, summoned an expert witness to testify, brought in character witnesses, cross-examined prosecution witnesses, put the defendant Jesus Christ on the stand, and more. What we discover in the Gospel of John is that John utilized all of these legal strategies to plead his case for Jesus. In The Courtroom Trial of Jesus the Christ, Dr. Jimmy F. Orr discloses John's use of legal strategies in making his case for Jesus.
