by John Mark Browder (Author)

More than a family history, this is an epic story of a family who contributed to the economy of medieval Europe, then contributed to the success of the great nation of the United States of America. The story of this important family has never really been told adequately. This is especially true of one Isham Browder, who first resided in the Colony of Virginia, and later moved to North Carolina, primarily because of religious persecution taking place in Virginia prior to the establishment of this great nation. This family endured hardship and tragedy, punctuated with success and greatness. Upright to the core, regardless of religious or political belief, members of this family have contributed in every possible way, as well as serving in practically every war this nation has ever been involved in. It is literally amazing what they have done, but also what has been forgotten by the generations over time, only to be brought back to the light in recent years by careful, diligent, and determined research. Though many records have, sadly, been destroyed, there is still much to be found in the extant record. As much of that as possible has been presented in this work in an effort to finally give due respect to our great, and sometimes just ordinary (but no less important) ancestors.
