Author Biography

Cody Patterson is a grateful husband and proud dad of two boys--one adopted and one biological--who resides in Louisville, Kentucky. Cody holds a bachelor's degree in English education and a master's in strategic communication management. He currently works in corporate communications with a focus on internal communication and storytelling. He loves sharing the power of story to help others grow into more confident, comfortable, and compelling communicators. Inspired by finding and meeting his biological grandmother after a 60-year family search, Cody wrote and published his debut children's book, The First Day--a simple and relatable story about the first day experiences we share with our loved ones.
