Author Biography
Most religious/spiritual authors spend a lot of time talking about the self, but say nothing about God. In fact, many authors make sure to steer clear of the God word because they know it will turn a lot of people off. Not author Edward Weiss.
Weiss, whose new book The Golden Prayer recently hit the top of Amazon's bestseller's list for the 'Religious/Spiritual' category, has this to say about the subject...
"I don't shy away from talking about God because I know that knowledge and love of God is really the endgame for the mature adult. Many spiritual systems focus exclusively on the self, but as I say in the book, the only thing within the self is more self. This is something I know a lot of people don't like to hear, but paths that don't include something greater than the self are bound to fail."
The Golden Prayer is a modest 156 pages, but nothing is wasted here. Weiss focuses intensely on helping the reader let go and surrender their life to God by using a simple six-word prayer. This is not a denominational book as no religion is mentioned. Other than the fact the book talks about God, it's more of a theology or philosophy as it attempts to get to the core of the human problem as Weiss sees it with the solution being to love God more than the world.
Does Mr. Weiss think his new book will change the world? "I make a bold claim in the subtitle and call the book a path to salvation, yet I would never make such a claim unless I knew I could back it up in the book itself."
