by Sara Beth Meyer (Author), Allison Hsu (Illustrator)

Currently, families and educators can choose from scores of children's bibles and individual bible stories, yet there is no treatment of the specific Gospels for young Catholics to grow closer to Christ, the very Word to which all God's words point (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 102). The Gospel of Matthew for Little Ones addresses this great lack in an inviting format: a vibrant illustration on the left, three stanzas on the right, and chapter notations in the right margin to encourage the next step of delving more deeply into the Good News.

Visit sarabethmeyer.com A pediatrician, Allison Hsu lives in Texas and is a wife and mother to two girls. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Allison began sketching and observing the little things of life she never noticed before in the busyness of life - the blooms of spring, the animals in the yard, and objects of everyday life. While sharing these sketches, Sara asked Allison to consider illustrating the Gospels for Little Ones. Allison loves for her work to be fruitful, and wholeheartedly agreed. What a gift during the turmoil of these years to be able to be little and find comfort in God's Word!
