Shayne Tucker lives in a loveless home. Constantly bullied by his older brother Doug, and the recipient of physical and emotional abuse from his father. He carefully navigates through his adolescence in an effort to stay clear of his father's wrath and find some semblance of a normal happy life. His grandparents provide him with some balance as they are happy to give him the attention and love he so desperately needs.
