EMILY O. GOLDMAN is Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of the International Relations Program at the University of California, Davis, USA.
THOMAS G. MAHNKEN is Professor of Strategy at the U.S. Naval War College, USA and is Acting Director of the Strategic Studies Program in the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at the John Hopkins University, USA.
