by Deanne Jenkins Tate-Johnson (Author)
Like many dedicated women, Rebecca James has fought hard for her place in the male-dominated domain of politics. As a single mother and conservative political consultant, she's had to fight harder than most, but she's succeeded in securing a career fighting for the values she holds dear.
As a specialist in state and congressional elections, Rebecca regularly attends political functions, and it's in this setting that she meets the handsome, charming, and impeccably dressed Kyle Roberts. Intrigued by Kyle's political ambitions and alluring personality, Rebecca agrees to help him secure a state assembly seat.
Working day and night together brings the two closer, until romance finally blossoms. Kyle introduces Rebecca to his evangelical church, where she finds Christ. Eventually, Kyle proposes, and the two seem destined for political success and matrimonial happiness.
Appearances can be deceiving. The more she's around Kyle, the less Rebecca feels like herself, growing needy and anxious. As for Kyle, he disappears for days on end, reappearing with no explanation.
Rebecca needs answers before she commits her life-and her son-to a partnership with this mysterious man. What is Kyle doing, and can Rebecca's love survive the truth?
