by Rhygyfarch (Author), D. P. Curtin (Translator)
This 11th century Latin text begins with the early revelations of Blessed David, also known as Dewi, who was foretold by angels to his father and Saint Patrick before his birth. His father receives a prophetic dream, leading to gifts symbolizing David's future life of wisdom, asceticism, and spiritual dominion. The text further describes Saint Patrick's journey in Ireland, where he learns of his destined role as the apostle of the nation and his connection to David. The story emphasizes divine selection, preparation for ministry, and the miraculous power bestowed upon St. Patrick.
