The Invitation "Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak wisdom in a mystery, the hidden wisdom, which God predestined before the ages to our glory; the wisdom which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory." (1 Corinthians 2: 6-8) The Mystery is the gateway to understanding the Grace of God as taught in the New Testament. From the beginning of time, God had a secret...a "mystery which for ages has been hidden in God" (Ephesians 3:9). Jesus, while dying on the cross, said, "It is finished." He said this "knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled" (John 19:28-30). Now, at that very moment, something was made complete that was incomplete before. Now, something was finished that was unfinished before. "It has now been revealed to His holy apostles and New Testament] prophets in the Spirit this] mystery of Christ, which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men" (Ephesians 3:3-6). Today's contemporary church has lost touch with the knowledge of this "mystery" and, as such, has abused Grace and short-changed Faith. Possessing this "full knowledge of Christ" (2 Peter 1:3) will cause you to "never stumble" (v.11) as you become "a mature man to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:13). WALLY WOOD has been a Bible teacher since the 1960s. In 1980, he became an ordained minister and has ministered in jails, prisons, shelters, churches, conference halls and broadcast outlets.
