Author Biography
Author of children's illustrated book Keepin On, The Naked Acorn, and Why Do You Care About My Hair?, LaShundra a.k.a. Ms. LaLa was born in Panama City, FL and grew up in Omaha, NE. She has always wanted there to be more books based on black American families. Using her natural love to laugh and entertain, Ms. LaLa uses a lot of humorous situations and dialogues in her books. She incorporates life and the bible in her comedic situations where the children are praying their way through a time or two (or three). Currently residing and teaching in Oklahoma, she loves her large family, wonderful friends and supporters, students, and being surrounded by her little four legged friends. She has four crumb snatchers of her own. Married since 2001 they have added to their lovely family various animals both common and uncommon. Although they seem to live in the zoo, everyday is an adventure and another memory to add to the mental pallet. Ms. LaLa loves teaching, writing and a good laugh.
