The Old Dusty Road - Paperback

It seems like yesterday when I traveled down that old dusty road, when in fact it was fifty nine years ago. When I go back to those days in my mind I remember them as the happiest days in my life. I have three siblings, my oldest sister, "Rozanne" who always seemed to be able to think up more new games to play then any one of us. My oldest brother's name is, "Bill" and my name is, "Shirley". We also had a new addition in our household a new baby brother his name is, "Gilbert." I was extremely jealous of him so I referred to him as, "Mr. Brown." There wasn't a television in every household and kids had to use there imagination. I truly believe that is why today we have so many wonderful memories of that time in our lives. My father, "William" was in Mexico working as a cattle inspector for the U.S. Government. Work was not plentiful during that time due to the end of the war. Men had to go where ever they could go to find employment. My mothers name is, "Mabel" she is truly what kept us together in those years. She had a never ending love for all of us. She worked very hard and prayed often.
