The Parent Playbooks are designed to help the parent, teacher, or child with fun activities to do in just a few minutes a day. These activities are matched to the new Common Core State Standards lessons being taught in your schools everyday. Doing these activities before, during, or after school improves learning. We collected these activities from parents and teachers so we know they work. Our job was to match those successful activities that kids enjoy and from which they gain new learning, to the standards being taught at school. Standards, instruction, and curriculum may change from school to school so we chose to take a middle-of-the-road approach by using Common Core Standards as our criteria. We can't guarantee that the activity/standard match will be 100% accurate for every school, but we can guarantee that kids learn by doing, and these activities keep them learning.
