by Ejetavbo Florence Ogochukwu (Author)

The office of the Pastor's wife is an establishment that has successfully gained grounds in ministries today. Men in ministry, especially the pastoral ministry carry their wives along. She is not simply the Pastor's wife but also has an office with responsibilities attached. In most cases, she oversees the affairs of the women. Beyond this, she is often ordained a Pastor, a Reverend or Evangelist. Hardly does one see a deviation from this order.
She is most often seen as her husband's deputy in ministry. She is as good as the Pastor not because they are equally assigned but because of the privilege afforded by her husband's office. The office of the Pastor's wife is highly sensitive and maybe controversial. The sensitivity of the office and its consequent impact on ministries necessitates the address of its operation.
