Shade Sandman has written a family fiction book inspired by the song, "The Plan", by Stryper. Two former Atwood, KS high school classmates, Stefanie Shannon and Shade Sandstorm, began dating, started a relationship that led to engagement and the two getting married. Finding out the two could not have children, they decided to spend the rest of their lives with no children. One recurring person would become their roommate over the years. This person would add a total of 6 living under the same roof within 10 years. Then one night a tragedy would have Shade and Stefanie become guardians of a baby boy.
