The purpose of this book is to analyze the situation of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Jumilla from a historical, geographical and economic point of view. The Jumilla PDO, located in the province of Murcia, has a great winemaking tradition dating back centuries, through which its companies have evolved over time. It is currently showing a positive evolution in its sales, as well as a focus increasingly oriented towards the production of quality wines. This situation implies an enormous effort in R&D that must continue to be consolidated in order to improve its competitiveness and continue to expand in the most demanding segments.
