by Teka Lark (Author)
The Queen of Inglewood is in a word, hilarious. Through the lens of poetry, Teka takes a sarcastic view of everything about life, living in LA, from walking your dog, to sex, drugs, partying, and yes, even Rick James. It is playful, funny, evocative, but also poignant. When you see things through the author's point of view, you get the feeling it's is asking why things are the way they are: the Good, Bad, and in-between. It's a refreshing post-modern take on free verse, about living day to day in the City, and it's asking all the right questions.
