Jonathan Edwards, widely considered America's most important Christian thinker, was first and foremost a preacher and pastor who guided souls and interpreted religious experiences. Wilson H. Kimnach is professor of English at the University of Bridgeport. Kenneth P. Minkema is executive editor of The Works of Jonathan Edwards. Douglas A. Sweeney is assistant professor of church history at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
