This is a book for kids about the journey from cotton and chemicals to a shirt in the store.
I studied textiles in college and wanted to write a young readers book about the shirt on your back. I wrote the draft in 2005, and, after a detour with many parenting activities, I began working on illustrations for the book in 2019. I hope you enjoy the completed book. It also has had a long journey from start to finish.
Children's interests and reading levels vary. The author envisioned this book being read to a younger child and readable by an older one. Kindergarten through 5th grade is the approximate reading level.
