by Beth Anna Otellart (Illustrator), Seretta Martin (Editor), Una Nichols Hynum (Author)

Una's ability to draw vivid landscapes leads to insights into her life as well as giving us a glimpse into the strength of her character. These reflective poems are honest and at their core is an acceptance not only of grief and regret but of the immediacy of life. These poems remind us of the primal power of poetry to mourn and to celebrate our time on earth. Joseph Milosch, Poet & Kowit Prize award winner, 2017 Okay, I'll admit it. I envy Una Hynum. Try as I will, I can NEVER write poems which reveal insight into people the way she can. In "The Sky is Bluer for One Crow" she waxes meditative, yet she's speaking for all of us, especially seniors. Then she turns around (as in "Now Is a Good Time to Be Crazy") and paints a telling iconography of contemporary urban life as it interlaces with poetry. Did I say she was versatile? A 360-degree master of the heart? Well then, do not hesitate. Open her latest book of poems-and READ!
