Stainstone is a typical English market town. It boasts a very fine Parish Church dating back to the 13th Centuryand a weekly market with a charter granted nearly as long ago. It has all the usual public buildings. Library, Town Hall, Museum etc., and the inhabitants are like those you will find anywhere in the country. At least most of them are Come and meet some of them.

aged 83 discovered his ability to write late in life A retired Police Officer he first started by writing poetry. In 2011 his Poem 'The Medal' was selected by a panel including Carol Ann Duffy, the Poet Laureate for inclusion in the bestselling anthology 'Heroes: A hundred poems by the New Generation of War Poets.' His own publications to date are 'The Poetry Circle' a collection of verse both humorous and thought provoking and 'A Christmas Carol, ' A short play in verse based on Charles Dickens' story intended for use by Amateur Dramatic Groups and Schools.
