by Jennie Butler (Author), Sue Lane (Author)

Dummer, a small parish on the chalk downlands south of Basingstoke, has a rich history that includes famous faces such as Jane Austen, Joseph Arch, and Sarah Ferguson. It was also the setting for the Swing Riots and a place of religious change from the unusual level of protestant non-conformity in the late 17th century, followed by the strong evangelicalism prompted by the visits of John Wesley. This volume tells its many stories.
