African metaphysics briefly is a study of the African world and world-view. As a study, it takes a deep and wide look into the nature of ultimate reality for Africans. It looks into the nature of forces or beings in the African Universe, the relationship between the seen and the unseen. African metaphysics is the key to the understanding and interpretation of life, existence, being, in fact reality as a whole as observed in the African Universe. The African sees his universe as essentially a religious one; a unified whole of visible and invisible and this organic whole of the visible world 'spiritually' blends with the divine invisible world to give the African the ultimate whole of life. The African further recognises that the forces in the universe are in constant motion and each force tends to affect another by its motion. This text brings to light the essentials of the African belief system and also with a visible and comprehensively review of the phenomenon of the forces in his environment and how he manipulates or interact with his nature. Author Biography

Dr. Yongho N. Nichodemus was born on the 31st of December 1954. After his primary and secondary education, he went to the Public Work Civil Engineering School in Buea where he obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering. But for his unquenchable thirst for knowledge, he returned to education in the Government Teachers Training College, Bamenda where he graduated with a Teachers' Grade I Certificate. Still not satisfied, as a primary school teacher, he further his studies in at the University of Nsukka, Nigeria where his insatiable love for wisdom lead him to graduate with a B.A (Hons.), an M.A and a PhD all in Philosophy. He has taught since then in various institutions of Higher learning. He is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Higher Teachers' Training College, Bambili, University of Bamenda, where he has been lecturing different courses in the discipline of Philosophy. He is a prolific writer with many articles and books to his credit. Dr. Yongho N. Nichodemus, is one of our founding lecturers of the Department of Philosophy of Higher Teachers' Training College, Bambili, the University of Bamenda, in Cameroon. He's been with Department of Philosophy of the Higher Teachers' Training College of the University of Bamenda for thirteen years.
