This is the second book about the lives of women who have had a plant or plants named after them in the form of a genus or species. The book aims to highlight the contribution made by women to botanical science, where they have been so often overshadowed by men. It details the lives of 16 women who were the wives of well-known plantsmen, 10 members of various royal families and 13 goddesses. For each, there is a short biography including details of why they were chosen to have a plant named after them, followed by information about their plants. The first book, There She Grows, published in 2018 began the story by outlining the lives of 34 'Plants-women', who were either botanists, horticulturalists, plant collectors or botanical artists in their own right.
