Elected officials at all levels of government must be accountable to their constituents for their actions. Ensuring accountability by establishing a culture of integrity is a must. However, rules and regulations that hold elected officials to high standards can be challenging to enforce. Political corruption and small-town politics are evils that are difficult to annihilate and eat away at the soul of a community. Exposing corruption and holding the corrupt politicians accountable sometimes means going head to head with them. And sometimes it means Giving God the Reins.This story is about power and corruption in a small East Tennessee county. It is a story about how ruthless politicians and unethical school leaders tried to destroy me and my family when I stood up to them. And they even used tax dollars to do it. More importantly, it is a story about God's love and mercy and His guidance through the darkest time of my life. I will share with you the lessons He taught me and how He blessed me and my family in the presence of our enemies!
