To be Christian in the second century A.D meant to be persecuted in the most horrific ways. Tortures such as being boiled to death, being skinned alive, torn apart at the limbs at a round wheel, being burnt alive or being fed to the dogs were only some of the unthinkable tortures that emperors of that time thought up, to rid of those who believed in Jesus Christ or those who had the thought of believing in Him cross their minds.
